I had a temporary lapse of judgment in the past and become a blonde and I am proud in 2011 to have stayed the way I was intended. :)
#9 Basketball
Basketball has brought so many good things, people and experiences into my life. The trips for the Final Four cheering on my wildcats, watching John Wall with the Wizards and just heading downstairs to the sports bar below my condo are all things irreplaceable!
#8 DanceBlue
Watching DanceBlue grow strong and evolve after six years is tremendous. I'm always and forever FTK!
#7 Savannah College of Art & Design
With only two classes left to wrap up my graduate degree in graphic design, needless to say I am thankful for almost being done!
#6 Steve Jobs & the Apple team
This sounds really silly, but with an iMac, MacBook Pro, iPAD, iPhone and iPod, the quality and connectivity of my life would be very different without these amazing products!
#5 The University of Kentucky
Clearly I bleed blue and apparently it shows! This spring UK came to Gensler and filmed me as part of the SeeBlue campaign. It was a very exciting honor to be profiled as a Kentucky graduate along with people who work at Google and CBS!
Check it out on my website or UK's!
#4 Strong Role Models
Some people say that the world needs better role models, I completely disagree and think society just looks in the wrong places. Movie stars, athletes and reality stars are simply a sliver in this world of people you can look up to. I am blessed to work alongside talented professions, have an amazing family and designers/ architects who have set the bar like Diane Von Frustenburg, Paula Schuler and Art Gensler.
#3 Opportunity
With speaking engagements coming up in 2012, a supportive employer and creative opportunities coming from all over, I couldn't ask to start 2012 any better!
#2 Gensler
Spending the last 4 years at the world's number one design firm has been a honor. I look forward to many more to come! Especially in our new office in Midtown!
#1 My family, friends and Pets
Because my closest friends and pets are family, I could not separate the three. My dog is my shadow and my constant companion. And even though family and friends spread out all over they are never more than a call or text away!
I hope everyone has had a blessed 2011 and I wish everyone an amazing 2012!
