Printed Perfection! Best Pattern Trends of Fall 2011

As a graphic designer, I love prints. In fact, patterns are one of my favorite things to design. Check out where I'm seeking inspiration from this season for my wardrobe and work and let me what what's your favorite! :)

I could list 101 reasons...

why I love dalmatians, but I will spare you. It was though, my obsession as child. I guess you can say it kind of went from dalmatians to cheerleading to design. And that would not be a exaggeration.  I love these two examples because they are subtle and don’t scream ‘trend’!

GITTY UP!

Maybe it’s the fact I went to the University of Kentucky, or the weekends at Keeneland i in October and April. Or perhaps it was all the Makers...
Regardless, I love the horsey motif. It’s whimsical, classic and reminds me of Ralph Lauren.

(PS You have to look really close to see it in the purple dress.)

Lil'bit of Leopard

Leopard always seems to find it's way into each fall season. But this time, we are seeing creep into more than sexy dresses and scarves. New life is breathed into this traditional loafer and even this necklace can't escape a little leopard love.

The Bear Essentials
I can't lie, if I could afford them, I would wear them. The bear claw foot is genius. But for those less crazy than myself, this bear necklace is right on trend in the pendant style. I personally find it's a refreshing departure from Hello Kitty. :)

DVF

Yes, she gets a category of her own. I have yet to proclaim my love and admiration for Diane Von Furstenburg on my blog because that is a post that has been in the making for quite sometime now. To me, she is what women should thrive to be. But that's for another post. There is now mass market trend here, just a look at her most stunning printed pieces this season.
